Company

The Optima Consortium for Decision Science, Ltd. was established as a not-for-profit Australian company in 2016 in order to reach new partners unavailable to the research consortium. The company is a subsidiary of the Burnet Institute and received charitable status in 2017.

Who we are

The primary consortium partners for developing and applying the Optima suite of tools consist of academic research groups across the Burnet Institute, University College London, University of Geneva, University of Bern, and the University of New South Wales in close partnership and funding from global health agencies including the World Bank, Global Fund, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.

Other academic and global health institutions and individuals use Optima tools and collaborate with the Optima team.

OCDS strategic plan

Our aim is to nurture our existing strengths in HIV, TB, HCV, and nutrition, while broadening into other areas.
