The Optima Website offers this Website, including all information, software, products and services available from this Website or offered as part of or in conjunction with this Website (the "Website"), to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all of the terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. The Optima Website reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions immediately by posting the changed Terms and Conditions in this location.
Your continued use of the Website constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions and notices, and any changes to the Terms and Conditions made by The Optima Website.
The term "optimamodel.com" or "us" or "we" refers to the owner of the website (the creators of the Optima model and software tool, based at the University of New South Wales when the first version of Optima was developed, as defined in an Assignment Agreement between the World Bank, UNSW and the team leader of the Optima development team). The term "you" refers to the user or viewer of the Optima Website.
The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use. Use of the Optima Website and the Optima tool is at your own risk. This website is provided to you "as is," without warranty of any kind either expressed or implied. Neither the Optima Website nor its creators, agents, third-party information providers, merchants, licensors or the like warrant that the Website or its operation will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted or error-free. No agent or representative has the authority to create any warranty regarding the Website on behalf of the Optima Website. The Optima creators reserve the right to change or discontinue at any time any aspect or feature of the Website.

Except for material in the public domain under Australian and United States copyright law, all material contained on the Website (including all HTML code, software code and other code) is protected by Australian, United States and other copyright laws. Except as otherwise expressly provided in these terms and conditions, you may not copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, modify, pantomime, rewrite, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any material contained on the Website without the prior consent of the copyright owner. Violation of this provision may result in severe civil and criminal penalties.
Use of the Optima software accessed from the Optima Website
Content on the Optima Website is available freely to anyone. However, the Optima software tool is only available for registered users. One may receive Optima login information and become a registered user by attending training on the Optima model and software and signing a Partnership, Confidentiality or Terms of Use Agreement. Optima team members also sign either: an Optima team leader agreement, Optima team member development and use agreement, or Optima team member use agreement. There is also an Optima development agreement for contractors who provide services in developing Optima.
Partnership Agreements are typically for organizations (such as universities and companies) who conduct Optima analyses as an extension of the UNSW Optima team.
Confidentiality Agreements are typically for individuals who conduct Optima analyses by appointment from the broader Optima partnership, generally by the World Bank.
Terms of Use Agreements are typically for individuals who engage with other Optima implementers to conduct analyses for governments or global health agencies (such as UNAIDS, Global Fund, representatives from Ministries of Health or National AIDS Commissions).
The purpose of these Agreements is to support and document the working relationship between the creators and developers of the Optima tool and other Optima users. They define the terms and conditions which apply to the rights and responsibilities of UNSW and other Optima users, emphasizing that the Optima creators and other users will implement Optima analyses in collaboration to maintain mutual quality assurance of all inputs and outputs, and in a manner which is fully consistent with the rules, priorities and requirements as set out in relevant contracts related to Optima services. The agreements also define intellectual property and publication rights.
